ETHICS: Staying Compliant in the Ever-Changing Landscape of Mental Health (2024)

05/10/2024 09:00 AM - 02:30 PM ET

Description

This workshop will duplicate the Ethics training in Fall of 2023 with some minor enhancements.  We will discuss the importance of having a code of ethics for our field - a code of conduct that is expected and required of all practicing MFTs. We will also discuss how to  practice ethically in times of change. Participants will have the chance to evaluate their own ethical beliefs and discuss how to take a more ethical approach to care.

Topics covered will include, but are not limited to: providing ethical telehealth services, telesupervision, staying HIPAA compliant in a virtual world (and across state lines), compact vs. licensure portability, and discussion on MFTs in Medicare.
